Harry burned over the orchard and picked up the north side of yard-
Aunty ate too many prunes* so did not feel well today-
I made tapioca custard and picked up some junk and done all the chores.
Mother was good all day
*Oh no, Aunty! I don't know if they still had an outhouse, or inside plumbing.
Now we gotta find out if they had indoor plumbing...maybe through the census?
ReplyDeleteThe last NY State census was in 1925. Irene's husband was still alive then & I believe they were living elsewhere. Plus, the 1925 census didn't ask questions about the dwelling, only address. The 1930 federal census I would have to look at again, but I believe Willard was still alive then too. Not sure where Irene was living in 1940, as I have yet to look at it since it was released last year.
