plesant and windy
freezing a little-
Made Butterscotch custard and done the washing-
Clothes froze on the line-
Carried in Auntys' 20 gal crock and brass kettle-
Mother was not bad about the washing-
made her only a little nervous and could not understand how we had so large a wash-

  1. I remember taking clothes that had froze off the line. Only a few pieces at a time because they couldn't be folded. And I thought it was a miracle that when they thawed, they were dry!

    1. I remember doing that as a kid. We didn't get a dryer until I was in high school. We still use the clothesline when the weather is nice.
