Monday, March 30, 1936

plesant but rained this afternoon-
thunder rumbled
Washed Mothers dress and sweater and our stockings and ironed aprons and dresses-
Mother wanted to run away to brick house but was mad when I insisted on going along-
Hay buyer came with Leroy Bower-
Aunty worked in yard-

  1. Just checking in and playing catch up on the diary. It seems like Irene must have been a wonderful woman. People always stopping in. Caring neighbors to bring them things. It really was a different time then.

    1. Yes, my father remembers her fondly. She died before I was born. It is wonderful how many people are willing to help them out.
